Programmes and Ministries Programmes and ministries within DCT provide physical, social, and spiritual care for all people within the Diocese of Central Tanganyika, regardless of religion, gender, or physical disability. They provide Christian teachings to the people in order that all who hear may grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ & in fellowship with one another, empowering them for service in the Church, community, & home. Carpenter’s Kids Programme Deaf Ministry Education Health Services Children’s Union (Watoto) Youth Union (Vijana) Women’s Union (UWAKI) Men’s Union (UWAME) Mission, Evangelism, and Stewardship Legal and Estates Department The Legal and Estates Department provides legal aid and property management training for parish priests. For example, helping them understand how to keep church documents, mark the boundaries of church property. Also provides mediation to resolve disputes to avoid going to court. Demonstrates that we are working together as one community. Gives training to Women’s Union, teaching them about human rights, especially for women, children, people with leprosy, people with special needs. Provide legal aid to widows and old people. Represent people of the Dicoese in court. Write legal contracts and other legal documents. Advising various institutions of DCT about various legal issues. Attending all investment building meetings and report to the General Secretary. This department manages all business enterprises of DCT. Working very hard to have all titles and deeds of all church property. The department head is Rev.
