Bureau de Change The Bureau de Change operates as a business initiated to provide income for the Diocese of Central Tanganyika to fund various diocesan projects. It is located on Kuu Street in the central commerce district of Dodoma. By offering competitive exchange rates, the Bureau de Change provides a valuable service for both visitors & residents. The Bureau is supervised by a Managing Director of Services, assisted by a teller, & is audited by outside auditors appointed by the Finance Board. The Bureau is operated under the regulations from The Bank of Tanzania, and it is inspected once a year during surprise visits. The big challenge is that The Bank of Tanzania has increased the capital needed to operate the Bureau from 40,000,000 TZS to 100,000,000 TZS, effective from 1 July 2015.The accounts have been computerised using software from The Bank of Tanzania.
